El programa “Adelante con tu futuro” es el primero en Latinoamérica en recibir el premio Excellence in Financial Literacy Education

El Institute for Financial Literacy, organización no gubernamental con sede en los Estados Unidos, entregó a BBVA Bancomer el reconocimiento Excellence in Financial Literacy Education a su programa de Educación Financiera «Adelante con tu Futuro», en la categoría “Programa de Educación Financiera para adultos del año”, otorgado por primera vez a una institución Latinoamericana.

Al recibir el reconocimiento, Adolfo Albo Márquez, fefe de Gabinete y director global de Educación Financiera Bancomer, expresó que “este premio es un compromiso para seguir desarrollando y ofreciendo talleres y programas de educación financiera que tengan un impacto positivo en la sociedad, especialmente cuando en México existe un área de oportunidad para impulsar el conocimiento de los productos y servicios financieros en busca de generar una inclusión financiera responsablecon mejores prácticas bancarias”.

Explicó también que uno de los objetivos de la educación financiera es generar ahorradores consientes deudores responsables e inversionistas prudentes apoyándolos a tomar decisiones informadas”. Además, añadió, “queremos pasar de inclusión financiera responsable a bancarización de calidad, es decir, que se usen más y en forma más amplía los productos financieros, y sin duda la educación y el acceso de los servicios financieros promueven un mayor bienestar y la movilidad social”.

Al hablar sobre la estructura de Educación Financiera Bancomer, el directivo detalló que el Programa “Adelante con tu futuro ” se conforma por nueve contenidos alineados al ciclo de vida de las personas: ahorro, crédito, crédito hipotecario, medios electrónicos bancarios, seguro de vida, fondos de inversión y educación bursátil. Además de tres contenidos enfocados a PyMEs: el flujo de efectivo, crédito para PyMEs, y la cobertura de un crédito.

Adolfo Albo destacó que el carácter internacional de este reconocimiento está potenciado por el plan de expansión del programa hacia latitudes geográficas con presencia de BBVA, ampliando el área de influencia del programa a otros países. “Tenemos un compromiso con el desarrollo del país y de la región y estamos convencidos del papel que tiene la educación financiera en el crecimiento de México y de las naciones donde operamos”, finalizó.

Este reconocimiento se entrega cada año a instituciones y programas que demuestren resultados tangibles y avances en la formación y educación financiera de las personas. Además el programa “Adelante con tu futuro” es el primero en Latinoamérica en recibir el premio, colocándolo de esta manera como una iniciativa clave de educación en el Continente.
