El lunes cinco de octubre se celebra el primer Día de la Educación Financiera, esta iniciativa, con vocación de continuidad cada primer lunes de octubre, se llevará a cabo dentro del Plan de Educación Financiera, con el impulso del Banco de España y el apoyo de instituciones y entidades como el Instituto de Estudios Financieros (IEF).

Para nosotros la educación financiera es el proceso por el cual se transfieren a las personas conocimientos, habilidades y competencias que les permitan tomar mejores decisiones financieras personales. Estas decisiones se toma a lo largo de todas las etapas vitales, por lo que la educación financiera se debe impartir a toda la sociedad, independientemente de su edad o de su realidad social y económica, dado que de una forma u otra todos acabamos tomando decisiones financieras en nuestro día a día.

Celebrar un día de le educación financiera puede permitir a la sociedad a concienciarse de la importancia de la misma y a la vez conocer las actividades, herramientas y acciones que tiene a su disposición para capacitarse.

Des del IEF, como pioneros en este ámbito en el estado hemos participado y participamos en distintos proyectos y programas. Para este día 5 de octubre participaremos con los siguientes hitos:

Presentación de la 4ª edición del programa de Educación Financiera en las Escuelas de Cataluña (EFEC)
Lanzamiento de concurso de infografías sobre la Educación Financiera para las escuelas participantes de EFEC
Publicando el trabajo de investigación “Educación Financiera: ¿un verdadero estímulo para la economía?”
Ofreciendo acceso gratuito durante todo el día al curso on-line “Introducción a las Finanzas Personales”

Estamos convencidos que esta primera edición del Día de la Educación Financiera va a ser un éxito, pues dará visibilidad a las iniciativas que se están llevando a cabo, hará posible que la sociedad se beneficie de ellas y en consecuencia tomará mejores decisiones financieras en el futuro.
