Estos alumnos han conocido cómo funciona una bolsa de valores y su mercado de adquisición o suscripción de acciones y valores. Asimismo han compartido también un taller educativo denominado “Inversión Inteligente” donde han podido familiarizarse con los conceptos de ahorro e inversión para que puedan tomar mejores decisiones en el futuro. Esta ha sido una actividad complementaria del Programa de Educación Financiera en las Escuelas de Cataluña (EFEC) y donde dichos alumnos han participado activamente en su centro escolar en otros talleres como son “Administrando tu dinero” (gestión de los presupuestos personales), “Finanzas para la vida” (introducción a la planificación financiera personal), “Endeudarse con cabeza” (consejos para evitar el sobre endeudamiento) y “Las dudas cotidianas de Jaime” (situaciones financieras cotidianas).

La Global Money Week 2015 es una iniciativa de Child and Youth Finanzas International que se desarrolla en colaboración con la OCDE, que tiene por objetivo promover la educación financiera en todo el mundo. En la edición de 2014, de la Global Money Week participaron un total de 3 millones de jóvenes y 490 organizaciones de 117 países. La Global Money Week coincide con la European Money Week, organizada por la Federación Bancaria Europea, iniciativas que se desarrollan paralelamente durante la segunda semana de marzo. Este año, el Programa EFEC se ha sumado a la Global Money Week y la European Money Week para dar difusión a sus actividades. Además del taller de inversión inteligente en la Bolsa de Barcelona, se han programado 361 talleres de educación financiera en 94 centros escolares (con la participación de un total de 5.878 jóvenes y 144 voluntarios) y 3 talleres de educación financiera a Centros de Formación de Adultos.
