Jugar para evitar el suspenso en Finanzas

15/6/2014- Dado que los españoles se llevan un suspenso en formación financiera, una laguna peligrosa como ha quedado en evidencia en los últimos años, ¿por qué no intentar enseñarles jugando? Las últimas iniciativas puestas en marcha por organismos públicos y privados tienen una parte lúdica que pretende hacer menos denso un tema que, de entrada, parece poco amable. El último ejemplo es el de Bankinter, que ha puesto en marcha una iniciativa para enseñar economía en los colegios con un videojuego, pero no es el único.

Escándalos como las preferentes han demostrado la falta de conocimiento del mundo de las finanzas y el ahorro de los españoles. Según un estudio realizado por ADICAE a finales de 2013, “la formación e información financiera de la población española es insuficiente y, además, quien durante mucho tiempo fue la fuente principal de consulta sobre estas cuestiones -el banco- ha dejado de serlo para muchos”. Sólo el 16% de los ciudadanos se consideran bien formados, el 45,2% tiene poca o ninguna cultura financiera y la nota media que se otorga en esta materia a los españoles es un 4,27.

Así, el último ejemplo de iniciativas para hacer comprensibles los conceptos financieros es el de Bankinter, que presentó este martes el programa piloto para enseñar economía a niños de primaria con un videojuego de Nintendo, Animal Crossing y la economía. “Es un proyecto que responde a las recomendaciones de CNMV y AEB -Asociación Española de la Banca- sobre la responsabilidad social de los bancos en la alfabetización financiera de la ciudadanía”, explica una de las responsables del programa.
