10/6/2014 – La Educación financiera es una de las prioridades estratégicas en materia de responsabilidad corporativa para el Grupo BBVA. Una decisión informada contribuye a una mejor situación financiera personal, facilita la gestión del riesgo para las entidades financieras e impulsa el ahorro a la vez que fortalece el sistema financiero. La Educación financiera revierte, en definitiva, en ahorradores más consistentes y en deudores más responsables. Este compromiso se materializa a través del Plan Global de Educación Financiera, cuyos principales programas son Valores de futuro, Adelante con tu futuro y Jóvenes y adultos.

La acción educativa es, para BBVA, su compromiso con el desarrollo de la sociedada empezando por los jóvenes y los colectivos menos favorecidos.Sus siete principios educativos configuran el programa de BBVA:

- La persona es el centro de su acción educativa.
- La creación de valor para sus empleados, sus familias, sus accionistas y la sociedad como resultado de su programa educativo.
- El equipo de formadores como artífice de la generación de valor.
- La metodología participativa como generadora de entusiasmo.
- El comportamiento ético y la integridad personal y profesional como forma de entender y desarrollar su actividad.
- La innovación pedagógica como palanca de progreso.
- La acción educativa como compromiso con el desarrollo de las personas.

Así, la elaboración del programa de Educación financiera BBVA parte de los grandes ejes de su política de responsabilidad corporativa. Los códigos de conducta, principios, declaraciones de valores, medidas y políticas concretas del Grupo BBVA constituyen la base sobre la que se apoya este programa.
La premisa es que la Educación financiera no es un promesa genérica de mejora del sistema financiero y del bienestar individual. La Educación financiera para BBVA está totalmente integrada en la estrategia global del grupo.
