Para este curso académico 2013/14, las sesiones empezaron la última semana de enero. Actualmente se han realizado 153 sesiones en territorio catalán y se prevé llegar al 20% de las escuelas catalanas.

Voluntarios de EFEC

Unas cincuenta escuelas, entre las que ya participaron el año pasado, se incorporan este año o se inscribirán en la próxima sesión, estuvieron presentes durante los discursos que ofrecieron Teresa Pijoan, Directora General de ESO y Bachillerato del Departament d’Ensenyament de la Generalitat de Cataluña; Josep Maria Sánchez, subdirector general de Deuda Pública y Operaciones Financieras del Departament d’Economia; Josep Soler, Director General de IEF; y Sílvia Mitjavila, responsable de la organización de EFEC.

Todos ellos explicaron a las escuelas el origen del programa la necesidad de trasladar conceptos básicos sobre finanzas a los alumnos que terminan la ESO, y la buena aceptación y respuesta que está teniendo el programa entre las escuelas catalanas, tanto las públicas cómo las privadas.

Las escuelas realizaron algunas preguntas sobre la organización, los horarios y el calendario de impartición de las sesiones. Finalmente se emplazaron a reunirse de nuevo para una tercera edición del programa Educación Financiera en las Escuelas de Cataluña.
