Unicaja y el Colegio de Economistas de Málaga han suscrito un acuerdo de colaboración para llevar a cabo actuaciones dirigidas a fomentar la educación financiera de los ciudadanos, en seguimiento de las recomendaciones marcadas por diversos organismos internacionales.

Mediante este acuerdo, el Colegio de Economistas de Málaga se une al Proyecto Edufinet, promovido Unicaja en colaboración con la Universidad Internacional de Andalucía (UNIA) y las de Málaga, Pablo de Olavide de Sevilla, Jaén, Córdoba, Almería y el Centro Málaga de la Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia (UNED).

El convenio ha sido firmado por el director del Proyecto Edufinet y de la División de Secretaría Técnica de Unicaja Banco, José Manuel Domínguez, y el decano del Colegio de Economistas de Málaga, Juan Carlos Robles, según ha informado hoy la entidad financiera en un comunicado.

El objetivo es impulsar la realización de actividades informativas y de formación en la materia, desde el convencimiento de que de esta manera se promueve una mayor transparencia, seguridad y responsabilidad en el desarrollo de las relaciones financieras entre los ciudadanos y los intermediarios financieros.

Desde que Edufinet se puso en marcha a finales de 2007, más de 35.000 personas han participado en jornadas o encuentros presenciales de este proyecto de educación financiera, de las que cerca de 28.000 corresponde al colectivo de jóvenes.

Asimismo, la página web del Proyecto Edufinet (www.edufinet.com) cuenta desde esa fecha con cerca de dos millones de visitas acumuladas, con consultas y accesos procedentes de casi 180 países.
